This is the original image that I started with. I chose this image because it left lots of room to the far right of the screen which allows me to use the same for my naming my feature story ideas. The photo is also at an interesting angle which I really like the look of.
I then did the levels on the picture so that the background would be less white and in your face. I did this by changing the levels to make them darker which made the main image look more natural.
I then added in the title of my magazine and the word "contents" because it is very conventional of a contents page. I made the title blue in the contents page instead of white as it wouldn't be as prominent and seen.
I then added a blue square to fit with my colour scheme and changed the opacity down so that it would be less prominent. I also did this because after looking at rap contents page's I noticed that this was a similar pattern with them. I also added page number as this is another convention of contents pages.
I then added in my feature stories and a brief description of them. I did this because rap magazines tend to have less feature stories on the contents page but instead have a brief description of what the story will be about as a little teaser.
